When I first bought the car I was keenly aware that it had paint work. One of the leading indicators was the misalignment of the rear badging.
If you look close enough you can see that the “Nissan” logo is about an inch off center, the “Altima” and “3.5SR” are running downhill, and the “V6” should be close and centered below the “3.5SR”. This was a constant annoyance for my OCD self. I watched a few You Tube videos and decided that it didn’t look too hard.
It turned out that I was lucky. A friend of mine is in the car detail business and he said sometimes they paint around emblems and it creates a mess. I looked mine over before I went for the dental floss and hair dryer. Yes it was that easy.
As you can see it is a much cleaner look and it is way less noticeable to the average eye that it has paint work.
This is my first wash and wax after the debadging-
